Maho MacGregor
Yoga Practitioner, Teacher-400 hr level, Ikigai & Mindfulness Coach
My name is Maho, I live in Canmore, Canada in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. I was born and raised in Japan, but Canada has been my home since 1994. I am a wife, mother of two, event planner and yogi.
It doesn't matter how old you are, what your gender is, or you've ever done yoga before- I am here to guide you on your journey towards better health, wellness and meaningful life transformation.
My Story
I started my yoga journey in 2014. Yoga has given me new tools to face life's lessons.
Yoga truly saved my life. Since I fell in love with yoga, I've been on a path towards healing and purpose.
The most important thing yoga has taught me is to always be an open-minded student.
I am passionate about how yoga can heal and transform us through breath, restorative movement and meditation. I also strongly believe that having a purpose in life can improve quality of life and health, and I incorporate this mindfulness practice into my classes.
I love sharing my practice with others to foster their own self-discovery towards a life of purpose and meaning.
My teaching style aims to create a safe space for each student to be their true self. In my classes, I often avoid using Sanskrit language to avoid cultural barriers, and make it easier to teach to beginners. I strive to offer my students the opportunity to walk their own path at their own pace, learn the wonders of yoga and always honor their feelings.
I look forward to seeing you in my class.
